They have a Taoist use/symbolism (mildly narcotic tea) and are frequent subjects in Chinese art.<br /><br />I have a lovely triptych showing Chrysanthemums as they bloom and fade. It is one of my favorite pieces. <br /><br />Your picture is lovely!
